put through their paces…
By
giant ornage and strawberry!
Shoppers
at Morrisons in Bradford’s Victoria Shopping
Centre had a pleasant surprise on Thursday June 3rd
June when a children’s fitness workout, led by
a life-size orange and strawberry, took place in the
store.
The
rather fruity work out class was all part of an initiative
from H2 4 Kids juice drinks, which aimed to tackle rising
obesity levels by encouraging youngsters in the city
to turn off the TV and get active by playing out in the
open air during the school holidays.
Marnie
Millard, sales and marketing director for H2 4 Kids,
said: “There has been a lot in the news recently
about obesity and the fact that the number of obese children
has doubled over the past 20 years. Our Roadshow aimed
to highlight to youngsters and their parents the benefits
of shunning games consoles in preference of a fun and
active lifestyle to stay fit and Healthy.
“ Children
need to drink eight glasses of fluids a day to maintain
their health and also improve their concentration. And
our H2 4 Kids range of fruit juices are some of the healthiest
around containing 10 per cent real fruit juice, low sugar
and no artificial colourings or preservatives.”
The
workouts took place throughout the day starting at 10.30am.
Children also got the chance to participate in some simple
exercises and take away gifts and a bottle of their favourite
flavour of H2 4 Kids.
